    Seminar Assistants (SAs) are an integral part of the AWAG team to make our leadership and development seminars a huge success! SAs are worker bees that help in all areas of the Annual Seminar such as decor, tech, answering questions from attendees and more. Serving as an SA can be a great introduction to serving with AWAG and can be good experience to include on your resume.

    The due date for Seminar Assistant applications is Monday, February 17, 2025.

    In case we have someone who cancels and we need a back up SA, Please let us know how much advance notice you need to be able to fill in.
    Rank the following areas in the order of preference, 1 (most preferred) to 6 (least preferred), based on your skill level or desired area to work. Please only use each number once. All positions will work in collaboration with a Board of Governors member responsible for each section.  There are also sub-committee jobs that everyone will do prior to the seminar beginning.
    Must be creative or enjoy arts and crafts; you will be making, putting together and executing the already selected decorations themes by the BOG during Winter Board
    Must be outgoing and good with people, this is a PR position, responsible for answering general questions, classroom ticket swapping, directions, complaints and much more; able to direct the delegates to the right person; typically requires a good amount of standing and walking around
    Manages classroom sessions, introduces speakers, monitors time according to schedule, collects tickets and classroom noise control; must be comfortable with public speaking; on-job training to help speaker with AV equipment
    Position entails inputting classroom evaluations for each session into the survey monkey website, does not require much standing or walking around
    SALES, SALES, SALES, etc. must be good with money and outgoing personality; responsible for manning an AWAG booth throughout the day, selling raffle tickets throughout meals; must be comfortable with money, responsible for inventory; requires a ton of social interaction and lots of standing
    Flexible and master of multi-tasking
    For the following short answer questions, please provide sufficient details to assist us in selecting the best candidates for Seminar Assistants.

NOTE: 
  • SA Uniform consists of a white button down/polo shirt, navy pants/slacks, and white/black shoes (comfortable walking shoes recommended). SA is responsible for ensuring this wardrobe at time of seminar. 
  • SA may participate in annual theme nights with accessories, but must wear their uniform at all events.
  • SA travel is paid for by AWAG; carpooling is encouraged. Rental cars are not approved and will not be reimbursed without prior approval from AWAG Chairperson and Chief Financial Officer. Flights should be coordinated with Board of Governors members as appropriate.
By submitting this application, you acknowledge the following:​
  • You are available to attend AWAG's 2025 Annual Seminar. Seminar Assistants will arrive on April 26 and depart on May 1. The Annual Seminar for attendees will be April 27-May 1, 2025. 
  • The provided lodging is for a double occupancy room.
  • Applications must be received by February 17, 2025 at 1800/6pm CET.
  • ​If you are selected, you will be notified by email. If confirmation response is not received on time, the opportunity is null and void and will be offered to another applicant.
  • ​Applicants must meet all requirements to access and stay at Edelweiss Lodge and Resort.
