Americans Working Around the Globe (AWAG) is dedicated to making our website accessible to all, including individuals with disabilities.

What web accessibility is

An accessible website ensures that all visitors, regardless of abilities, can navigate and interact with the site effectively. It allows for a seamless and enjoyable user experience for everyone.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

We have taken steps to ensure that our website aligns with web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG) [2.0 / 2.1 / 2.2 - select relevant option] at level [A / AA / AAA - select relevant option], making it compatible with assistive technologies such as screen readers and keyboard navigation. Our efforts include:

    • Utilizing the Accessibility Wizard to identify and address potential accessibility issues
    • Setting the language of the site
    • Establishing clear heading structures on all pages
    • Adding descriptive text to images
    • Implementing color combinations that meet required contrast ratios
    • Minimizing the use of motion
    • Ensuring accessibility of multimedia content
Declaration of partial compliance with the standard due to third-party content

The accessibility of certain pages on the site may be impacted by content from third-party sources. We acknowledge partial compliance with the standard for these specific pages.

Accessibility arrangements in the organization

AWAG does not operate a central physical office open to the public; however, we are committed to ensuring accessibility at all seminar venues, meeting spaces, and event locations across our Areas and at our Annual Seminar.

We work closely with our host venues to ensure the following accommodations are in place wherever possible:

  • Wheelchair-accessible entrances and restrooms

  • Elevator access to all main event spaces (where applicable)

  • Additional seating for individuals with mobility needs

  • Assistance upon request (volunteers available to help with navigation or materials)

If you have specific accessibility needs or would like to request accommodations in advance of an event or seminar, please contact us at programsupport@awagleadership.org.
We are happy to work with you to ensure your full participation in our programs.
