The AWAG Board of Governors is comprised of dedicated professional volunteers motivated by our mission. They represent American military communities within the European footprint enabling our organization to keep abreast of relevant issues that require training and support.

Meg is a creative leader, Air Force spouse, mom, and community advocate with over a decade of experience in education, business, and technology. She is passionate about building resilient communities through creativity, mentorship, and purpose-driven leadership.

Chief Financial Officer
Cassandra Guerin
Cassandra is a passionate advocate for education and military spouse employment. She is pursuing her doctorate in school administration and has served as a key support liaison, piloted a chapter for Hiring Our Heroes Military Spouse Professional Network, and held leadership roles on local spouses’ club boards.

Outreach Director
Jennifer White
Originally from San Diego, Jen resides in Wiesbaden with her husband and chiweenie. She brings over 10 years of experience in software implementation and change management. While pursuing an MBA in business strategy, she leads Frankfurt-based technology networking events and is committed to leadership, community engagement, and supporting Americans abroad.

Janet Driggers
Janet is a seasoned military spouse with 28 years of volunteer leadership. Although she began her career as a High School Biology teacher, 28 years and 16 moves later proved her real heart was volunteering. She is now a Senior Military Spouse, Advocate for Military Spouses and Families, and serves as an Ambassador for the Five & Thrive Initiative.

Typhany Lovdahl
Typhany is a dedicated military family advocate, community leader, and proud Air Force spouse with more than a decade of experience supporting service members, veterans, and their families. She currently supports the Transition Assistance Program at Ramstein and serve as Scholarship Chair for RESA. A mother of four and youth softball coach, she is passionate about empowering others through education, mentorship, community engagement, and service.

Hailey Smart
Hailey is an Air Force spouse, active Key Support Liaison, and Ramstein Enlisted Spouses Association board member who leads with heart, purpose, and connection. Passionate about building strong, inclusive communities, she creates spaces where military families feel seen and supported.

Amanda Bratcher
Mandy is a homeschooling mom of four stationed at Spangdahlem Air Base. She loves volunteering throughout her community in several organizations including the Key Support Liaisons, Saber Community Spouses' Club, Stroller Warriors Spangdahlem, and the local Homeschooling Co-Op.

Program Director
Birgit Hayhurst
Birgit is dedicated to supporting military spouses, especially in securing employment while stationed abroad. She holds an LLM in Taxation from the University of Münster. Professionally, she owns a boutique law firm specializing in international tax law.

Operations Director + Wiesbaden Area Rep
Karen Blakesley
Karen supports her local community by volunteering with the USO, Stars & Stripes and the American Red Cross. She is a qualified elementary school principal, swim instructor, yoga teacher, and menopause coach. AWAG has given her confidence, new skills, and lasting friendships. She hopes to help others discover the opportunities and sense of community it offers.

Domenika Zatarain Leinbach
Domenika is an entrepreneur and dedicated supporter of military families and communities across the globe. Her passion for advocacy and independent research has inspired collaboration with diverse organizations for over 20 years. She currently serves as a board member for the Bavaria Community Spouses' Club, and on the committee for Cub Scout Pack 261 in Grafenwöhr.

Spangdahlem Area Rep
Jennifer Hartzog
Jennifer joins AWAG as a 20-year Air Force spouse who has dedicated the past 18 years to raising her three boys while serving the military community. With extensive experience as a Key Spouse/Support Liaison, military community volunteer, group fitness instructor, and President of the Saber Community Spouses Club at Spangdahlem Air Base, she is passionate about strengthening connections, building community, and improving morale within her community.

Amanda Rummel
Amanda Rummel joins us from Ramstein Air Base where she is stationed with her husband and child. She is a passionate volunteer, serving as VP for the Ramstein Enlisted Spouses’ Association, Key Support Mentor for the 721st AMXS, and an Air Force Spouse Mentor for the Military Spouse Advocacy Network.

Yvonne Zdanowski
Yvonne is a dedicated military spouse with over 20 years of experience in social work. Her passion lies in promoting mental health and the well-being of military spouses, where she actively finds ways to uplift her community. Yvonne lives in the Netherlands with her husband and two young children.

Public Relations Director
Jodi Carcamo
Jodi lives in the KMC with her husband, Ernie, and their two cats. A proud Air Force spouse and mother of two adult children, she brings more than 20 years of communications and marketing experience. Since arriving in the KMC in 2024, she has served on the Ramstein Bazaar leadership team and now looks forward to supporting military families through her role with AWAG.

Italy Area Rep
Katelyn Miller
Katie is an Army spouse currently residing in Vicenza, Italy, where she enjoys serving the military community. She is the Manager of the VCC Thrift store and serves on the VCC Board as the Thrift Store Liaison. She and her husband have two children and in her spare time, she enjoys playing mahjong and connecting with others through community involvement and volunteer service.

Stuttgart
Norah Krones
Norah is a Navy spouse living in Stuttgart, Germany. Passionate about volunteerism, she has served with Main Street programs, homeless shelters, and community arts foundations. Norah serves on the board of the Stuttgart Community Spouses’ Club and as a EUCOM Family Representative. She brings 20 years of experience in printing and marketing, from design to digital and screen printing. Like many military spouses, her career has evolved with each PCS, allowing her to build skills and support her community.
